Here
you will find all the latest information on all our tournaments for
the 2008 calendar.
If you fancy a game of darts in a friendly yet competitive
atmosphere and maybe win cash prizes then we have the tournaments
for you. We have a wide variety of different skill levels as well as
a prize for the furthest youth or lady.
We are a non profit organisation run by a dedicated team of darts
nuts for you, the dart player, in association with our sponsor pubs
and clubs.
All money collected from tournaments are ploughed back into Bradford
Darts Promotions and all committee work is strictly voluntary. The
committee welcome new additions to the committee.....
Besides the sponsorship of our venues we
also have extra gala casinos. We hold all our committee meeting here
and consider this the home of Bradford Darts Promotions.....
We would also like to thank Gala
Casinos for additional sponsorship for the 2007 season.
Hire of BDP Equipment and Setup
Latest News
Each
board has a free standing frame with built in oche, chalk board and
two spot lights.
We can hire darts set ups to anyone who
wanted to run a local competition i.e. for a charity, local pub
knock outs, party games etc providing the dates don't clash with BDP
tournaments.
The charges for these services are as
follows: Equipment Hire up to £20.00 per board, if more than 1 board
it makes it £10 per board, (self supporting stand, dart board, oche
and lights). Competition coordinator £20 plus expenses. A £50.00
deposit is required and refundable providing the equipment is
returned un damaged.
Holding a Tournament
If you, as a pub/club, wish to hold an
event, please contact us by phone or email, click
here for our
contact details and form. Two members of our committee will call to
assess the suitability of the venue and arrange a date and prize
money for the competition.
The BDP will add £150 to your
sponsorship to make up the total prize money. The minimum
sponsorship is £150. The greater the prize money on offer the more
players you can expect to enter.
We are at the moment averaging between
60/90 entries. Entry fees are £4 per player. We would run 2/3 domino
cards to help towards prize money. Any profit from entry fees/domino
cards would go towards the BDP grand final at the end of the year.
We would advertise for you on our web
site and send out flyers. Our committee would arrive two hours
before the start, normally 10am, to set up the boards and equipment
and then run the event. Time permitting there will be a blind pairs
or 1st and 2nd round losers knock out . Format to be decided on the
day.
You would be expected to provide food,
such as sandwiches/pie and peas etc. You would keep all bar and food
takings.
