York Street Sports Club, 9 April 2016

Only 94 at Bingley due to competitions at York and Sheffield, but still some great games. First results in saw a new winner of the youths comp Brendan Stockings, coming out on top over Jacob Gwynne. The Ladies saw two new faces in semi-finals. Sharon Whitfield, making her come back from her nasty fall, and new comer Jill Nauman, who had her debut in Super League the night before, but neither of them could prevent Lincolnshire county player, Laura Tye and Yorkshire’s Giffy Khaosoi playing out a great final with Giffy holding her nerve in final leg to win 4:3 . The men’s event was won by Les Delderfield who overcame Garry Thompson in a great final, losing semi-finalists were Craig Fisher and Tony Darlow who both travelled up to Bingley when Sheffield must have been closer, well played. Losing quarter finalists, to show the standard of play were Yorkshire stars James Barton and Charlie Beaumont, last times winner Johnathon (Jobe) Hewitt and Morley’s own Lance Milburn. Saturday sees Yorkshire Youth playing Lancashire Youth at Glasshoughton WMC and the following weekend sees the climax of the county season with Yorkshire playing Lancashire, then it’s up to Pilkys for the next BDP. Look forward to seeing you all there.

Match Report from Townville WMC

“A good all round day for Dave Smith to win the second event this year tempered only by having to knock out son Jordan en route at the Last 16 stage.”read match report (23rd January 2016)

Match Report from Rowland Road Grand Final

“A fine tournament victory for Tony Darlow always such a tough competitor and such a hard man to beat…. His win rounds off a fairly forgettable year in BDP history in terms of attendances as the new format proved unpopular with regular players who stayed away this season…a return to the old format next season hopefully should see the numbers rise to what they were previously.read match report. BDP tournaments are open tournaments played throughout the year at selected venues. Every dart player is welcome, whether they are new to the game or a professional player. We also welcome youth and lady players.
