Welcome to a Local Game of Darts!

A reminder to all players that in order to be eligible to play in the men’s play off you need to have attended four of the last seven competitions, the final one of the seven is the next event being held at Pilky’s on the 5th December.

Due to the low attendance in the final section of 3 mini finals, funds will be low, so we will have to make some changes to the last mini final. The ladies and youth will still be the top eight of each, the mens will be open to all players providing they have attended 4 or more of the last seven leading up to the final day. We will then pay DOUBLE MONEY paid down to the last 16. This will be a normal competition with a £5 entry fee.

Congratulations to our winners at York Street Sports Club. Jonathon Hewitt won the Men’s competition, with Dereck Lumley as runner up. The Ladies competiton winner was Giffy with Alice Read as runner up. Low turnout from the Youths again, with Andrew Booth as winner. The next competition is at Pilky’s Sports Club on the 5th December.

Match report from Townville WMC

“Vintage Willie Kershaw today, if ever there is a man you would put your house on to win a last leg decider then it would be him, nerves of steel as he chews his gum and fires in the scores and puts away the finish..….read match report. (10 October 2015)

Match report from Rowland Road WMC

“Garry Thompson back on the winning trail and still one of Yorkshire’s top players… a great player to watch ‘The Recliner’is an exciting player to watch as he can be doing nothing in a leg and then suddenly produce amazing darts from seemingly nowhere to win legs along with finishes that other players would never dream of..….read match report. Match report from Pilky’s Sports Club

“In previous years gone by Brendan has been the dominant force at BDP alongside Les Delderfield and Willie Kershaw but in recent times the going has certainly got a lot tougher for the Keighley player…. However his victory today only serves notice that he is still a player of the highest calibre and will always be one of the main men to beat at BDP. A vintage Marren performance… match report. Match report from York Street Sports Club

“Enough hot spells for David (Lammie) in the game to come out the Winner as he hit 2 x 180’s and 13 x 100 pluses. As for Les (Delderfield), struggled for the most part but made a game of it with 14 x 100 pluses and 3 x 90’s scores…A shame that the later stages were marred by unsavoury scenes..”- read match report. (4 July 2015)
