Welcome to a Local Game of Darts!
YORKSHIRE SUPER LEAGUE PLAYERS ARE REMINDED GOLD CUP PLAY OFFS AT GLASSHOUGHTON 25TH JUNE 2016 11AM START.
Townville – 11th June 2016
A better turnout down south, 85 players altogether. The numbers weren’t there in the Men’s competition but the quality was, with county players from all over, Yorkshire, Humberside, and Cleveland. Also littered with a few PDC stalwarts and also guys that are just stars that were or to be.
The Men’s was eventually won by Daz Johnson whose run to the win was Dave Calvert, Lee Budgeon (Humberside), Dave Smith, Sean Matthews (Cleveland), Peter Jacques( Yorkshire A ) and in the final new Yorkshire player Derek Lumley, who had played Mick Hayward, Mick Yorke (Humberside A), Steve Blower (St Albans SL), Terry Temple, and Tom Sykes. Certainly a great day of darts.
The Ladies was won by Lynn Horne over Yorkshire team mate Mandy McKenzie. The semi-finalists were Louise Simmonds and Tracey Gledhill.
The youths semi-finals were contested between Naomi Haddock and Brandon Stockings with Brandon squeezing a 3-2 victory. Keaton Haddock and Matthew Taggart contested the other semi with Keaton coming out winning 3-1. The final was a ding dong game going to the seventh game before Keaton hit the final double.

“A good all round day for Dave Smith to win the second event this year tempered only by having to knock out son Jordan en route at the Last 16 stage.”read match report (23rd January 2016)
Match Report from Rowland Road Grand Final
“A fine tournament victory for Tony Darlow always such a tough competitor and such a hard man to beat…. His win rounds off a fairly forgettable year in BDP history in terms of attendances as the new format proved unpopular with regular players who stayed away this season…a return to the old format next season hopefully should see the numbers rise to what they were previously.read match report.
