Simon in action!

If you fancy a game of darts in a friendly yet competitive atmosphere and maybe win cash prizes then we have the tournaments for you.

We have a wide variety of different skill levels as well as a prize for the furthest youth or lady. We are a non profit organisation run by a dedicated team of darts nuts for you, the dart player, in association with our sponsor pubs and clubs. All money collected from tournaments are ploughed back into Bradford Darts Promotions and all committee work is strictly voluntary. The committee welcomes new additions to the committee.

The organisation

We have set up this organisation to promote the game of darts in and around the Bradford area (West Yorkshire boundary). We are a non-profit making organisation reliant on sponsorship through participating venues. All proceeds go toward the BDP classic, held at the end of each year at a date and venue to be decided. The top 48 players from the ranking list will be invited to the BDP classic. All will receive prize money with a minimum of £600 to the winner (subject to funds). There will also be a Ladies and Youth final, plus an open pairs final on the day.

Holding a tournament

If you, as a pub/club, wish to hold an event, please contact us. Two members of our committee will get in touch to assess the suitability of the venue and arrange a date and prize money for the competition. The BDP will add £250 to your sponsorship to make up the total prize money. The minimum sponsorship is £350. The greater the prize money on offer the more players you can expect to enter.

We are at the moment averaging 100+ entries. Entry fees are £5 per player. We would run 2 to 3 domino cards to help towards prize money. Any profit from entry fees/domino cards would go towards the BDP grand final at the end of the year. Your venue needs to be within the West Yorkshire area. We would advertise for you on our web site and send out flyers. Our committee would arrive two hours before the start, normally 10am, to set up the boards and equipment and then run the event. Time permitting there will be a blind pairs or 1st and 2nd round losers knock out. Format to be decided on the day.
